Don’t get bamboozled by building a website
Building your first website can be daunting, but it’s a bit like riding a bicycle: once you’ve done it, you never look back. It gets easier every time, and before you know it you’ll be a ‘master’.
There are lots of options to choose from.
At the most basic end of the scale are the free website builders offered by web hosting companies like GoDaddy, who also sell domain names.
Godaddy offers a free website builder with all domain names bought through them. All you do is pick a template from a limited range of choices, type in your copy, click publish and you’re online. You don’t need any web skills at all and they are OK for basic review sites, and you can insert your ClickBank hoplinks. The disadvantage is that your site will also show banner advertising for the host, and they look a bit cheap.
A step up from that are templates that you can download for free and change with your own graphics. There are a lot of free template sites, like: www.freewebsitetemplates.com
Wealthy Affiliate has an online website builder called SITE RUBIX which is super easy to use – all you do is point, drag and click to build really good affiliate websites with lots of functionality. Because it’s online, you can use Macs and PCs with WEB RUBIX - www.wealthyaffiliate.com
For Mac users there is www.macwebsitebuilder.com, or rapidweaver. They’re both very easy to use as you would expect of anything to do with Macs.
But for serious affliate marketers there are a few programs that are the Rolls Royce of Affiliate website builders. Wordpress, which we used to build this website, is browser based so it doesn’t matter whether you use a Mac or a PC. It’s as flexible as you want it to be, allowing you to customize it as you become more familiar with it. You can start off for free, and only pay as you add themes and plugins.
XsitePro is another, but it’s for PCs only. XsitePro is easy to use and has everything you’ll ever need in its wizards and menus, such as Aweber integration, shopping carts, you name it. The support is excellent too. The price is around $200 USD – which is a bargain for all you get.

You will also need to buy a domain name for your site and get a hosting package.
